After a four-year absence, the Thor franchise is back! It’s brighter, bolder and more brazen than ever, packed with more epic family drama than you can shake a hammer at.
No longer an earthbound affair, Thor: Ragnarok is a full-on cosmic adventure. It’s primarily a comedic film about sense of duty, friendship, and as usual, brotherly love. At centre stage are the in-fighting duo of Thor and Loki, with a kick-ass new companion in Valkyrie. It features a villain who oozes charisma and menace in Hela, and a hilarious secret weapon in the form of the Hulk.
I was lucky enough to attend a preview screening, and what can I say? It was amazing. I absolutely loved every second of it. I laughed the entire time, and I cannot wait to watch it again.
My most rousing endorsement is that, as soon as it finished, I wanted to watch it from the beginning again, immediately. The last time that happened to me was when I watched Captain America: Civil War. Perhaps that may give you some idea of how much I loved this film.
There’s so much to like about this movie, I am literally brimming with adjectives. Do I want to talk about it? Yes, very much. So stay tuned for a full review next week, and maybe even a podcast!
Thor: Ragnarok will be showing at Cineworld Leicester Square.
