3D paper-toy crafter extraordinarie Ryan Hall has taken over the Orbital Gallery this December with Mr. Freeze Takes Over Christmas: A tale of paper toy adventures.

Over the past year, Ryan has worked at various studios designing work such as Transformers 3 movie tie-in products, Christmas decorations and ad poster campaigns; with children from primary schools on character design; and working on theatre productions and film sets.

For the exhibition at Orbital, he has come up with a very elaborate plan and ties in some of his favourite sci-fi and pop culture characters into one set.

The plot goes something like this: One of Gotham’s evil villains Mr. Freeze has created the ultimate freeze ray to trap Batman and his fellow super friends once and for all and turn Gotham into an ice tomb, but this time not just earth, the freeze ray can chill other planets due to its incredible power!!! Eternia, home of He-Man fall’s foul to the ray giving Skeletor chance to take over Greyskull while the sorceress and king Randor are frozen. The rebels face an even icier Hoth than usual with Darth Vader leading the attack, the time lords home planet Galifrey reduced to ice and the high council of time lords themselves to, with the Doctor’s Tardis frozen, his other selves defend his home against many of his enemies.

This unmissable exhibition runs from December 10th to December 31st.
