The Orbital Gallery is proud to present ‘Largely Unseen’ – An exhibition of obscure artistic endeavours by Mark Stafford.
Mark has been knocking around the lower paying echelons of British comics for about 20 years, producing small press comics and pages for anthologies, exhibiting his work in squats and fly by night galleries and getting occasional bursts of honest to goodness paid work. He’s worked with Bryan Talbot on Cherubs!, a supernatural comedy adventure published by Desperado books in 2007; is the cartoonist-in-residence for The Cartoon Museum; writes and draws about film for Electric Sheep magazine; and illustrates anything and everything from circus posters to library murals.
Mark is s currently finishing the art for Cherubs!: Hell on Earth, and awaiting publication of the Lovecraft Anthology Volume One from Self Made Hero in April this year, which features his collaboration with writer Dave Hine on ‘The Colour
Out Of Space..’
The show collects some of his original work from across the years, from acrilic paintings to original comic pages and prints. It opens today and will run until February 13th.
