Secret Origins: The REAL Comic Book Heroes was a collection of photographs by Steven Cook charting the rise of the key players in what is now a multi-billion dollar industry from their earliest days at legendary publishers such as 2000AD, Deadline and Marvel UK.

Cook’s informal reportage photographs and unique portraits feature Neil Gaiman, Jamie Hewlett, Mark Millar, Grant Morrison, Dave Gibbons, Robert Crumb and many other comics luminaries as you’ve never seen them before.

The exhibition was hosted at Orbital Comics from 17th September to 17th October 2009.
